Dan studied at Oxford Brookes University from 2002 to 2005, representing the school of architecture in a number of international competitions. He graduated with First Class honours (RIBA Part I).

Dan went on to join the London based practice, Make architects in 2005 where he worked on a range of projects, including several high-profile competition schemes which have provided him with experience of working on residential, cultural and commercial developments.
These include the Garibaldi masterplan for Milan and a major residential development for Chambers Wharf in London. He has also been responsible for overseeing the development of a competition scheme for a mixed use building in Islington, London.
His first completed project at Make architects was the Old Road Campus building in Oxford, which replaces an existing building on the site with a state-of-the-art research and education facility. Dan saw this building through from conception to near completion; the project was completed in late 2007.
Dan studied for his Diploma (RIBA Part II) at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, graduating from the acclaimed Unit 15 with double Distinction in June 2008.

Dan often tutors and acts as a guest critic for a number of universities, including the Bartlett school of Architecture, the Architectural Association, and Universities of Nottingham and Oxford Brookes. His work has been exhibited across London, including the Barbican and the ICA, as well as being published in AD. Dan recently left Make architects after four years, to complete a Masters in Architecture, which was awarded to him by the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, in 2009.
